Fantastic location in North Beach with a lively, buzzing atmosphere and easy to reach all the main attractions. The neighbourhood felt very safe and was well connected by bus and cable car routes as well as being within a short walk of sights such as Lombard St, Coit Tower and Fisherman’s Wharf. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was comfortable with a nice shower! It is an older property with lots of character therefore there’s only a small tv in the room and no coffee making facilities or fridge (all stated in the description), however there is a fantastic bakery downstairs where we went each morning. There is a communal fridge available to store your things in.

I absolutely loved Hotel Boheme! It's such a great location near great breakfast, lunch, and dinner locations. We bused almost everywhere! The room, I thought, was a decent size. I have seen some negative comments about the size of the rooms, but I thought ours was modest, with a large armoire and a table and chairs and decent ensuite. Good water pressure! I loved the history of this hotel. I loved its style. It sent me dreaming of the 50s. My absolute FAVOURITE most niche and cute little freebie was the complementary glass of sherry. It is such a fitting extra that really makes you feel part of the story of San Francisco and Hotel Boheme. I'll be back!!!

Thank you , Nick, for the hospitality and extra thanks for the 4 pm sherry! We love the history and feel of the building and room. It truly embraces the spirit of San Francisco. Great restaurants (breakfast at Mama's, dinner at Mona Lisa #3, the Stinking Rose, and Piccolo Forno) , cafes and bars ( we love Johnny at Comstock) and the Washington Square Park are convenient delights. You can get your dog fix at Washington Square, too! Great walking neighborhood and if you're feeling energetic, walk up to and around Coit Tower and take in those terrific views! And a visit to the iconic City Lights Bookstore is a treat.

The hotel is located in a vibrant neighbourhood that is safe at night for tourists. It is a small old boutique hotel with a steep narrow stairs but it is spotlessly clean and full of atmosphere. We loved it. It was our first stop, for 4 nights, on our USA trip and it was fun all the way. Breakfst across the street in the El Greco and rub shoulders with locals, with cops and with firemen. Walk a few hundred yards down the street for some of the best Italian food outside of Italy. A magnificant choice of hotel.

Hotel Boheme was perfectly situated so that we could walk to many of the places we wanted to visit. A rental car was not necessary. The staff was very accommodating when it came to recommending activities and places to eat. We were right in the middle of little Italy and only 1 1/2 blocks from Chinatown. Even though we had to walk up two flights of stairs to get to our room we found it exhilarating; great exercise. Would go back again at the drop of a hat.
